Presented by HHMI Tangled Bank Studios, Wild Hope: Mission Impossible dives into the urgent need for food system transformation. The documentary showcases groundbreaking advancements in plant-based solutions and their potential to address climate and food security challenges.
Following the screening, a panel of experts will discuss the film’s key themes, the future of alternative proteins, and the role of policy in scaling sustainable food innovations. Pepin Andrew Tuma, J.D., GFI’s Director of Policy and Government Relations, will share insights on the legislative landscape, how government action can accelerate progress, and what’s needed to create a more resilient food system.

Pepin Andrew Tuma, J.D.
DIRECTOR OF POLICY AND GOVERNMENT RELATIONS, GFI
Pepin Andrew Tuma leads GFI’s legislative efforts to drive state and federal policies that support alternative proteins. His expertise spans legislative advocacy, food and nutrition policy, coalition building, and campaign strategy. Before joining GFI, he spent over a decade at the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, leading government and regulatory affairs. He has also worked in law, policy consulting, and political campaigns. Pepin holds a law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in history and government from the College of William and Mary.
